Sharyl Harrison is a Licensed Master Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and adults. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals facing challenges such as trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and issues related to self-esteem and life transitions. Sharyl is deeply committed to creating a supportive and welcoming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. She believes in meeting each person where they are and providing a safe, judgment-free space that encourages open expression and personal growth.
Sharyl earned her Master of Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. She began her career in human services as a case manager working within foster care and juvenile justice systems, where she developed a strong passion for advocating on behalf of underserved populations. Her early work focused on helping children and families navigate complex systems while working toward stability, reunification, and long-term well-being. This foundation continues to shape her approach to care today.
In her clinical work, Sharyl emphasizes the importance of compassion, respect, and genuine connection. She believes meaningful change happens when individuals feel supported, validated, and encouraged. By helping clients recognize their strengths while addressing areas of growth, she works collaboratively to build the tools needed to overcome life’s challenges and move toward a more fulfilling future.

Her methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Drawing from her extensive experience, she adapts her approach to best support each individual’s goals. Sharyl is dedicated to walking alongside her clients through their healing journey, helping them build resilience, gain clarity, and create lasting, positive change.
